When you insert the first citation into your document, Manuscripts asks if you would like to create a bibliography. If you choose to add one, it automatically adds the bibliography as the last section. If you decline, you can still add a bibliography manually at any time.
To manually insert a bibliography into your document:
- Place the text cursor where you want to place the bibliography.
- Click Insert > Bibliography from the main menu.
Manuscripts inserts a section titled “Bibliography” at this location. If you have added any citations, the Bibliography will include the corresponding list of references. Otherwise, the section will be empty until you add a citation.
Manuscripts automatically updates the Bibliography as you add, edit, and remove citations.
